Queer 24 – Breaking Barriers in Academia – Podcast & blog by Pepik Hipik & Knižní kočka

Záznam veřejné debaty „Prolomení bariér v akademickém prostředí”, kterou uspořádal ⁠Francouzský institut⁠ v Praze spolu s ⁠Goethe-Institutem⁠ a ⁠Univerzitou Karlovou⁠ v rámci cyklu ⁠Queer 24⁠.

Akce proběhla ve čtvrtek 18. dubna v ⁠Kampusu Hybernská⁠ a hlavním tématem byly zkušenosti LGBTQ+ komunity na akademické půdě. Na této akci podporované Francouzsko-německým kulturním fondem se sešli francouzští, němečtí a čeští řečníci, kteří diskutovali o obtížích, s nimiž se setkávají studenti a výzkumní pracovníci z LGBTQ+ komunity. Diskuse se bude týkala i osvědčených postupů a předpisů v oblasti sociální, administrativní, aj.

Mezi účastníky byli např:

Léovanie Das, pověřená bojem proti nenávisti vůči LGBT osobám na DILCRAH (francouzská meziresortní delegace pro boj proti rasismu, antisemitismu a nenávisti vůči LGBT).
Michal Mikeska, prezident spolku Charlie, což je queer spolek Univerzity Karlovy.
Michal Pitoňák, vedoucí odboru duševního zdraví LGBT+ v Národním ústavu duševního zdraví.
Eileen Schwanold, referentka pro diverzitu a zástupkyně sítě LGBTQIA+ „Science and Beλond“ na univerzitě v Hamburku.

Diskusi moderoval český fotograf, novinář a aktivista Lukáš Houdek. Po skončení diskuze byly promítnuty krátké filmy, které ilustrují zkušenosti LGBTQ+ komunity v každé ze tří zemí.

As part of the Queer 24 cycle of events, the French Institute of Prague, the Goethe-Institut and Charles University are organizing a roundtable on the LGBTQ+ experience in the academic sector, „Breaking Barriers in Academia“, on April 18 at Kampus Hybernská. Supported by the Franco-German Cultural Fund, the event will bring together French, German and Czech speakers to discuss the difficulties encountered by students and researchers from the LGBTQ+ community, and existing good practices. The target group is students, academics and university staff, associations, policy makers and anyone interested in this topic. Among the participants, there will be: Léovanie Das, in charge of the fight against anti-LGBT hatred at the DILCRAH (French Interministerial Delegation to Combat Racism, Anti-Semitism and Anti-LGBT Hatred), Michal Pitoňák, head of the department dedicated to the mental health of LGBTQ+ people at the Czech National Institute of Mental Health, Eileen Schwanold, Diversity Officer and representative of the LGBTQIA+ network „Science and Beλond“ at the University of Hamburg.
